Sex is important for both your mental and physical health! We all know you can’t really have to much sex, but are you having to little? A Wilkes University study showed that people who have sex twice a week had higher levels of antibodies than those who don’t. So what does this mean for you? If you aren’t having enough sex for your age you aren’t as healthy as you could be!
18-29
Remember those magical people having sex twice a week? That’s right! Millennials are clocking in at an average of 112 times a year, and those hitting the goal numbers are at the peak of their health.
30-39
Thirty may be flirty and fabulous, but people in this age bracket are only having about half as much sex as they used to be. Clocking in at around 90 times a year (once a week and some extra nookie for the holidays.) Why? Because as we get older, our odds of developing chronic health conditions increases and this, in turn, negatively impacts the frequency and quality of sexual activity.
40-49

Fifty may be the technical age to be over the hill, but people in this age bracket have hit their sexual peek and bottomed out. Averaging only about 70 sexual encounters a year it’s no wonder that this is the average age where aches and pains start to really settle in.
50+
Have you noticed a trend? That’s right, the older you get the less sex you have, the less vitality you have. Between work, kids, and all the other everyday things that come up as you get older it may be harder to find time, as well as be in the mood for sex. However with all of the proven benefits for your health sex provides you should be aiming for at least 60 times a year.
So get out there and get those numbers on point, it’s good for your blood pressure, stress, and sleep!
