This week we’re talking about autoplushophilia, a new hashtag popping up on twitter. #Autoplusopilla is referring to a group of people who find their arousal is caused by dressing up as giant stuffed animals. You read that right, forget a butt plug tail and ear headbands. Autoplushophilliacs take furry erotic-ness to the next level.
What is Autoplushophillia?
While technically autoplushophiliacs fall into the same category as furries, there are some notable differences. The main one being that they are turned on by themselves dressing up as an anthropomorphic cartoon animal. These are not your everyday kittens, puppies, and horses. They are a subculture that enjoys anthropomorphic art and costumes.
What you need to know
Furries need love too. While the media often paints them in a negative light furries are just like anyone else with an unusual fetish. They often keep to their own communities and are highly unlikely to be out and about while in costume, even at a comicon. Autoplushophilliacs love their fursuits, however to them that is the same as a “normal” person’s lingerie, or sex toys. It is extremely rare you will encounter one in the wild.
