We all know that there are differences when it comes to dating versus being married, but what we don’t know is which is actually better. Each side seems to have their pros and cons, so here’s a list of a few things that are easily comparable.
Mode of Transportation
When you’re dating you have the hot new car or sexy little motorcycle all to impress the person of your choice. When you’re married, you have to compromise for something economical or functional for a growing family. No more zipping around like nothing matters, and you can forget that sexy bikini clad girl holding on tight, you’re lucky if she lets you drive speed racer.
Date Night
When you’re just dating, date night means the possibility of sex! So you get all dolled up, clean shaven, and ready for action. Don’t forget to order reasonably small portions, you don’t want to impede on your ability to perform. When you’re married, date night means a night away from crying babies and screaming kids. Time to focus on your loved one, without distraction, and no need to worry about impressing anyone. Order what you want, and don’t stress a thing, sex isn’t going to be discouraged no matter what you did; it’s all part of the package!
Finances
When you’re dating you are the only one working, and don’t forget that you have to budget in those expensive nights out. Granted, you have the freedom to go and do anything you want, but there’s only your own salary coming in to play. When you’re married, you have the option of having two salaries in the household. Granted, some people chose to allow one partner to stay home and not work, but now a days two salaries is the norm.
Wearing The Pants
When you’re dating, the man is king of the jungle. He feels like he runs the show, making plans, and being the boss. When you’re married, let’s just say things change.
Physical Fitness
The dating scene is so competitive that men and women are usually working hard to get and stay in the shape they feel most attractive in. Once you’re married, all that seems to fall by the wayside. No need to worry if your shape is impressing your partner so much, and both sides seem to let loose a little bit. Though the lack of need to need to hit the gym may be a pro, the lack of being in shape may seem like a con.
Once you find that special someone, married life won’t seem so daunting, and the dating scene will seem like a lot of unnecessary work. Until then, being shackled down may seem like the ultimate punishment, so play on and have fun!
