Between the shutdowns and snow storms this winter dating ideas may be running slim. We are here to help with some perfect ways to still date despite the state of the world outside.
Embrace the weather
Prepare a winter wonderland date, build a bonfire, take out thermoses of hot cocoa and pretend your backyard is the set of a hallmark movie. Hook up your phone to a projector and watch a movie curled up in blankets by the fire. If you and your partner are still children at heart you could even have some snowballs prepared for a snowball fight and then build a snowman together. The trick here is to have your outdoors set up before you go out so that your partner sees the thought that went into the date.
Try something new

Adventure dates don’t have to be a thing of the past. While current restrictions do limit the ways you can travel most states do still offer outdoor winter activities. Expand your life experiences by trying snowboarding, or cross country skiing. Sit down together and see if you and your partner both have something you’ve always wanted to try like a polar bear plunge or ice skating and just never got around too, now is the perfect time to give it a try.
Bring the restaurant to you

With snow blanketing much of the country outdoor dining may not seem appealing to you. Plan a dinner date night in. Cook together for even more fun. You can pick your favorite restaurant and look up copycat recipes or try out a date night challenge like the chocolate challenge (which is perfect with valentine’s day right around the corner.) The chocolate challenge is simple, all you have to do is make sure there is chocolate in every course. Who knew chocolate could go on top of ravioli or inside chili!?
Don’t let the snow and the sick stop you from keeping the romance in your relationship! A little time and imagination can go a long way to impress your date.
