Let’s face it, most people will judge you by your pictures alone and this is probably something you are guilty of doing as well! Now, this isn’t a bad thing, but it does mean that you need to be a bit more careful about the pictures you post. The first picture must be a solo one. No mirror selfies! Post your best pictures, and if you are a guy, post a picture with a pet.

Bio’s Matter

When writing your bio, it is all about putting your best foot forward. So, make sure that your tone is positive, upbeat, and keep it light. You do want to offer some insight into who you are, but nobody wants to read a novel. To avoid boring people, just focus on the highlights of your personality, interests, and what you are looking for. The final piece of the puzzle is to add something that makes a guy or girl want to message you. To do this, end your bio with a question, challenge, or something else that will get a conversation started.

Swipe smart

If you’ve  been swiping for a while, chances are you’re running on autopilot. It’s time to start paying more attention and narrow down your list. Remember all those things that you put in your profile? Well, look out for these in your potential matches as well. Their pictures and bio can tell you a lot about them if you just make it a point to notice certain hints. If someone is actively messaging you, then make it a point to message them right back. Similarly, if they ask you questions, try to get to know them as well. This way, you will be able to keep the interest levels high. At the same time, there are some people who will give you the bare minimum. It can be tempting to hold on and see if their conversation skills become any better. However, if they are still distant after several messages, you need to move on.
