However, there are some basic things that are good to keep in mind. This week we’re going to go over a few pointers to keep in mind next time things start heating up over sexts when it comes to what you’re actually saying.

Dirty Talk

Who doesn’t love some good dirty talk? Sexting is the ultimate form of talking dirty to each other. It’s important to remember that tone is lost during sexting, so words that can be hot while groaned in the bedroom become almost clinical during sexting. So do your best to think of alternatives to words like penis, vagina, moist etc. anything you would read in a sex-ed pamphlet is probably a good idea to skip.

Slang

You should also avoid texting slang, no one wants to have to try to puzzle out what you are saying it’s an instant mood killer. Scratch “lol” off your list and don’t send messages that are hard to read like “I cnt w8 2 fuq u” that’s not hot at all, it’s almost as much a turn off as the autocorrect cock blocks.

Sexting Emojis

The occasional emoji is great for adding a little something extra to your sexting session. However, too many emojis can turn the conversation almost childish. Use them sparingly, and if you are thinking about sending an image consider if it would be better to just send a picture of yourself instead. This does not mean to just randomly send an unsolicited dick pic. However, if you are in the middle of a sexting session a picture of your hand wrapped around your rod is probably a better choice than a big purple eggplant.
