Between seasonal depression and the weather, relationships can really chill out during the winter months. If you and your partner are missing that steamy spark you used to have don’t worry we are here to help with some tips to help spice things back up this summer.
Play Time Outside the Bedroom

When was the last time you played hide and seek with your partner? How about naughty nurse and patient? Adding some play and adventures is a great way to keep a relationship feeling young and playful. Pull out the kids’ water guns and have a wet tee-shirt contest, go for a picnic, and take along uno of phase 10. Adding some fun and competition is a great way to re-energize and reconnect with each other. The idea is to have fun and be happy. After playtime is over, take a shower and cuddle together.
Stroll Down Memory Lane
Do you remember your first date, or even better your favorite date? Try recreating your dating experiences by visiting those same places. Remember when you were getting to know each other so you tried to put your best foot forward, what happened to that now? You can rekindle that new relationship feeling while also revisiting the places that built your relationship without the extra pressure of doubt or worry and other anxieties that crept in in the beginning.

Make Each Other a Priority
There is more to life than work, news, and planning this weekend. If you and your partner both have developed a habit of having conversations without eye contact while both looking at your own phones or watching tv while you talk, set some time aside to have attentive conversations. Eye contact and small touches set off chemical reactions in the brain that there is no real substitution for, so if you’re trying to stoke a small flame to keep it from burning out make sure you’ve got your eyes on the prize.
