This weekend we’re talking about Dave Murray, the morgue employee who started trending under the hashtag #PenisEnvy after being busted with over 3,000 stolen penises. If you’re wondering about this story don’t worry we’ve done the research for you. The story goes like this:

Dave Murray is a 54-year-old morgue employee from Houston, Texas. To lighten his slightly morbid work life, Dave became an avid collector. While we here at Talktome.com have seen some pretty crazy collections over the years, ranging from toys to fetish tools, we’ve never seen anything quite like this.

What?

FBI penis investigation

The FBI case that has been dubbed by social media users as Penis Gate, has people everywhere wondering how on earth he got away with stealing embalmed penises for over 10 years. Dave became a person of interest to the FBI under suspicion of running an organ trafficking network out of his home after numerous reports of missing organs and body parts from his morgue where lodged.

How?

The Harris County morgue was under scrutiny after they declared themselves at maximum capacity after Hurricane Harvey. The morgue became a media circus after the FBI conducted a raid on Murray’s residence. In his home they found over 3,000 embalmed penises displayed in glass jars of formaldehyde. Dave explained to FBI Agent Andy Ramirez “in great detail, how he had been cutting off dead men’s genital organs and collecting them for more than ten years.” He is currently in custody with a total of 53 charges authorities are expecting to reach into the thousands by the completion of the investigation.

So is it true?

We’re going to go ahead and say no.

We were unable to verify any of the information from the numerous reports on the story.
