“Want to go back to my place?”

In 1978 Russell Clark, a psychologist, conducted an experiment having both attractive men and women go up to the opposite sex and proposition them. The questions they asked were “I have been noticing you around campus. I find you attractive” and adding either: “Will you go on a date, come over to my apartment, or simply to go bed with me tonight?” While it was a pretty even split for the date, only 6% of women agreed to go back to their place, versus the 69% of men who agreed. And no women agreed to the blatant sex, whereas 75% of men did. We wonder how those numbers would stand up today.

“Sex Jacket”

In an attempt to prove why men like women in Lingerie Scientists performed a “sex Jacket” experiment using rats. Several horny young virgin male rats were given the chance to have sex with female rats who were wearing tiny jackets. The next time the now non-virginal rats where given the chance to get some they all chose females wearing jackets over the ones who were naked.

Sexually Attracting Turkeys

Have you ever wondered what gets a turkey all hot and bothered? No? Us either. However, Martin Shein and Edgar Hale of the University of Pennsylvania where determined to find out. They built a replica female and went to work hitting on male turkeys. They slowly removed pieces of the female turkey to see at exactly what point a male turkey would lose interest. However they were surprised to find that when they were down to just a head the male turkey was even more turned on than before. They continued to test this theory and found the male turkeys were most aroused at the sight of a freshly severed female head.
