It can be dangerous to engage in real-life chrematistophilia, so many chrematistophiles enjoy role-playing scenarios where they act as a sex worker or as a victim of crime for sexual gratification. However there have been instances in which chrematistophiles commit robberies themselves. The most well-known instance is a man named Ronald W Keyes.
Ronald W. Keyes wrote “The Armed Robbery Orgasm,” an autobiography that includes details of a 6-week period during which he committed 20 armed robberies. Though he actually committed robberies, he classifies as a chrematistophile because he was forced to do it by his girlfriend who would hold a gun to his head and threaten to kill him if he did not. would have an erection from the point he set out to do the heist, ejaculating several times during the robbery. True chrematistophiles only get turned on by some element of forced financial exchange.
