Yesterday was Friday so today must be Saturday! Congratulations you’ve made it through another week! We like to kick our weekends off with some of the stranger sides of sex, and this week we are talking about Masochism, Voyeurism and Frotteurism. Do any of those sound strange to you? Well, according to a study published in The Journal of Sex Research, nearly half of us have an interest in sexual behavior that is considered strange with about 33% of us indulging in at least one of the listed fetishes.

Masochism

Coming in with the lowest number of participants masochism still had a 19% enjoyment rating. Despite its seemingly low number, the study found that masochists, or those interested in submissiveness, were generally much more satisfied with their sex life than any other group Sexual Masochism is when one reaches sexual fulfillment by physical pain or humiliation. Those with a taste for suffering sure do seem to enjoy that line between pleasure and pain.

Voyeurism

Voyeurism is defined as an interest in observing unsuspecting people while they undress, are naked, or engage in sexual activities. Coming in with the highest approval rating of the three at 35% of the polled participants, voyeurism is actually much more common than previously thought. From porn to peeping sexual voyeurism seems to be a crowd favorite.

Frotteurism

Are you into a little bump and grind? Many people are not familiar with the official name for this fetish, however when asked 26% said they either enjoy it or would like to try it out. Would you consider grinding up on a total stranger, outside of the club scene of course?
