Around here Saturdays are for opening up our minds to the wilder sides of sex and sexuality. This week we are talking about podophilia, better known as foot fetish. Unlike some stricter fetishes that require an exact set of circumstance to push the right buttons, there’s no real rules with a foot fetish, each person will like their own things and there’s more to explore than you’d probably think!

What is it?

Podophilia, is a heightened and specific sexual interest in feet and/or footwear. It is the most common form of sexual fetishism for otherwise non-sexual objects or body parts and is more prevalent in men than women.

Actual Feet

A bare foot with a nice arch and cute toes is what most people think of when they think foot fetish. For someone who has a foot fetish, bare feet can feel way more erotic and intense than seeing a woman naked. A person who has a foot fetish also may get sexually excited by licking the feet, smelling the feet and toes, having a person step on them, using the feet to stimulate their penis and balls, or rubbing feet.

Shoes

For some it’s the shoes that are a turn on. Heels, flats, trainers, loafers, sandals, waders, uggs, flip flops, name a type of shoe – it turns someone on. A shoe fetish can take many forms too, some people will enjoy getting a noseful of an old Converse whilst others will like how a stiletto shapes the arch.

Socks or Stockings

Socks and stockings come in all shapes and sizes, probably the most commonly fetishised are knee length and ankle socks.
