Even if you only like to indulge in a kink or two, or prefer things gentle, sex related injuries are inevitable. So here’s the rundown of what to do in the event of some of the more common sex injuries. Please keep in mind this is just advice and in no way a medical opinion. If you are seriously injured you should always seek professional assistance.
Most common

The most common sex injuries are actually ones that can be acquired even during vanilla sex. In order, they are a pulled muscle, back injuries, carpet burns, and cricked necks. In all of these cases taking Alieve or Tylenol and icing the injury will help hold you over until you can see a doctor if your injury is serious enough to warrant it. These are also injuries that can be acquired in normal situations as well so let’s take a look at some of the most common injuries that you wouldn’t really find outside the bedroom.
Bites Bruises and Hickies

These are the most commonly reported directly sex related injuries. Bruises can be caused by bumps and knocks or, hopefully, spanking. Bruises are best treated by R.I.C.E.ing the area. Rice stands for rest, ice, compression, and elevation after the first 24 house you should start applying warm compresses to the area to help clear away the pooled blood so the bruise heals faster.
Hickeys and bites, on the other hand, are a bit more dangerous. In fact, there is even a report of US woman having a stroke after a bite to her neck caused a blood clot, leaving her with permanent left arm paralysis. If you have an exceptionally painful Hickey or bite you can ice the area a lot of people swear by a frozen spoon, however, any compression with ice will help. If you are simply trying to help fade the appearance of the area you can use a mint based toothpaste on a toothbrush massaging the area to help your body reabsorb the blood.
Vaginal Tearing

If you are bleeding or really hurting in your lady parts after sex chances are you have a tear. Most often this is due to either really rough sex, toys without enough flexibility, or you’re too dry down there. If you have properly lubricated and are still experiencing tearing regularly you should see your gyno. However, if it was a one-time thing you can just wait it out and apply a cotton ball of frozen witch hazel to help speed the healing process.
