Schools out and we're getting ready to move to the lodge for the summer for our new jobs. Our parents are coming for the weekend to see us off and then lock up the house for the summer. Everything is ready so we have time for an afternoon nap in the sunroom. Though I doubt there will be any actually sleeping.

Snowbound at the falls we spend the day helping campers that were not prepared for the sudden cold spell. The bus out has been cancelled due to the snow. Later we help make stew for everyone and we have a huge dinner around the campfire before heading back to our own tent and each other.

The rain finally stopped and we've made it to the falls. There is a nice park and campground there. We set up camp in a more isolated part of the park, right at the edge of the forest. We take part in a group campfire with stories and music from the park rangers. Then we head back to our tent. It's a cold night with a possibility of snow by morning. But we have no trouble producing plenty of heat of our own.

Our 2nd night on the trail. We're ahead of schedule and rain clouds are lurking so we stop early so we can find dinner and make camp before it rains. It's quite chilly but we keep each other plenty worm.

A 4 day hike up into the mountains. Our first day goes well, we're ahead of schedule so we stop early to find food and catch some fish, set up camp. After sunset it cools of fast, a lot more that we had expected. But we're more than prepared. We are more than able to keep each other warm.

Ben & Sue, from the motorhome company, are visiting. They're on vacation and their bus needs repair so they stopped in to see us. We insisted they stay while they wait for their mechanic to bring the parts for their 1950s diesel. We moved our mattress out into the tent too, using the dividers for privacy. We have to be very quiet, but that doesn't stop us from having some naught fun. More than likely, our guests are doing the same.

Finally we have the house to ourselves and our mattress back on the bed. I nice fire in the fireplace has the whole house nice and warm. There is a slight chill on the mattress having just been brought in from the tent a few hours ago. But it's warmed enough to be comfortable, and we can find ways to keep each other warm.

After a great lunch at a restaurant overlooking the falls we head back home. We wait until everyone is asleep and then sneak out to the art studio. It's cool in there but Amy has her fleece and that keeps us plenty warm, and we know just how to warm things up even more.

A neighbor suggests a trip to a waterfall an hour's drive away. We've never seen it in winter and our parents haven't seen it at all. While there we find some private time for the first time in days. We make the best of it.

The weather has everyone snowed in yet, so we bring the mattresses from our bed, the daybed and sofa so we can get off the hard, cold cots. The fires burned down more then they should have which means we have to cuddle closer to stay warm. As long as we're that close, we might as well have some naughty play time.

All of the design decisions for the new motorhome have been made but it's late so we go back to Ben & Sue's. Everyone pitches in and we fix a great dinner. Then it's off to our tent for playtime and then maybe even a little sleep. Tomorrow we're back on the plane and headed home Great time with Amy, great doesn't even come close to covering it. Incredible? closer, but not it. I guess there is no word.
