Talking to Amy is simply amazing. It's like being with her, well, almost. I enjoy it beyond words, doesn't matter if we're just talking about what's going on in our lives or if we're having a naughty playtime. This time we took a sleigh ride. Because it was an assignment, the sleighs were all busy so we got the very last time slot, which happened to be at sunset. We let our driver pick a destination and he took us to a ridge overlooking a canyon. The view of the sunset was incredible, not that I had much time to watch it as my attention was on the beautiful Amy. Jack had built several huts along the ridge with a large pane of glass replacing the side facing the cliff. The small woodstove and the sun pouring in kept it more than warm enough. We are in our fort at the lodge remembering the time when I first met her parents. It was a little shaky at first but the quickly realized that Amy and I loved each other. Amy is just now learning that on that trip I had asked her father for permission to marry her. It was right after this that I made arrangements to duplicate our first date on our upcoming trip back to the resort where we met, and then to go one step further, to plan our wedding for the end of that very week, on Christmas eve. Now back to present day, she has a surprise of her one, one that I greatly enjoy.

Our first weekend after the premarital camp it wa my weekend to drive to Amy's. I had not yet proposed because I had decided the perfect time and place would be at the resort and recreate our first date. But we both knew we could never be apart. Her parents knew too and they still didn't know what to think of me. We took a walk in the woods and down by the stream. Well we survived a transmission failure and emergency landing in a chopper, being left in a cave by ourselves, a blizzard and an angry, hungry mountain lion. But finally we are back at the lodge and a shiny new chopper sits on the helipad. We headed straight for our cabin when we landed. The hot water felt so good after sleeping on rocks in the cave. The water wasn't the only hot thing that felt good in that hot tub.

We've finally gotten to bed in the cave, but neither of us feels like sleeping so we just laid in each others arms talking. We ended up taking a trip down memory lane. It was a rather unusual trip. It was back to our 1st anniversary. We had planned to go back to the little resort where we first met. but due to ongoing electrical and heating problems they had to close for renovation. This left us with no place to go and Kelly, who worked at the resort, without an income. They had just purchase the property 13 months ago and had finally completed construction of the camp. They hadn't planned to open until spring, but with the resort closed they knew people would be desperate to go someplace. It was winter, just before Christmas but the camp is just at the edge of the mountains so it's not subject to the extreme cold. Some old Army tents and wood stoves had been donated. They would be more than enough protection from the weather. So here we were spending Christmas and our 1st anniversary in a tent. After dinner we sat for a while at the big fire, it was cold but dry and the fires sure felt good. Amy had other plans though as she took my hand and pulled me away from the fire into our tent. The fire had been burning all day and it was nice and warm in the tent. In no time at all we had undressed and making love on the double sized cot. Not how we planned to spend our anniversary, but we had a great time. Just hoping you know who doesn't try to land on the roof of the tent.

After a close call with the cougar, we sit down by the fire to eat the cheesecake that had been packed for us since we were supposed to have eaten dinner during the flight. After which we sit there enjoying the quiet and each other. Then we begin to talk about a camp we went to while still dating. It was pre-marriage counseling. After making an emergency landing in the mountains, Jack has left Amy and I in the safety of a cave, and gone to get help. He'll be gone all night. We have plenty of emergency supplies from the emergency kit, food, blankets, etc. But now a new situation, there is a mountain lion in the distance. I built a 2nd fire for warmth just inside the cave While Amy built 2 very small ones to warm the rocks under our blankets. Jack did leave rifles should we need them. We can't do anything about the lion, for now. but we can enjoy being alone for some naughty play.

Finally rescued from the tower we're back at the lodge. We enjoy the buffet dinner then head back to our cabin where we slip into our pjs (That's one pair we share) and lay in our fort looking at our beautiful tree. After a while Amy gets the popcorn and supplies and we pop it over the fire then feed it to each other while watching our favorite TV show. After that we crawl under the blankets.
